Instagram Stories allows users to record clips using both the rear-facing camera and front-facing camera on their devices. Users can switch between these cameras from the Instagram Stories camera screen, and they can also choose to use the front-facing camera by default.

Our guide will show you how to use the front camera by default in Instagram Stories.

Note: These screenshots were captured in the Instagram application on iOS. Also note, if you turn this setting on and then switch the Instagram Stories camera to the rear-facing camera, this setting will be turned off.

Step 1: Open the Instagram Stories camera and tap the gear icon in the top-right corner of the screen.
