Instagram Starts Testing 2 New Feed Controls

Instagram began testing two new ways to give people more control over their experiences with its feed.

Users can now mark multiple posts in their Explore tab that they do not find to be interesting or relevant as “Not Interested” with a single tap, and Instagram will immediately hide those posts and stop showing those users similar content.

And Instagrammers may soon be able to hide suggested posts featuring certain emojis, hashtags or words, with Instagram explaining in a blog post, “Whether you’re seeing something that’s not relevant, or have moved on from something you used to like, you can use this feature to stop seeing content that’s not interesting to you.”
