Instagram Live videos may start drawing larger crowds with Monday’s introduction of Live Rooms, which brings a taste of Zoom-like Messenger Rooms by doubling the maximum number of participants to four from two.

Live Rooms can be used for projects such as creating with other artists, hanging out with friends, hosting jam session, hosting question-and-answer sessions or starting talk shows.

The feature also provides monetization opportunities for creators, who can build on the badges feature that was extended to Instagram Live last October by enabling viewers to buy badges for hosts, as well as by incorporating features like shopping
