Instagram Link Sticker for Stories Now Available to All Accounts

It replaced the swipe-up capability Aug. 30

Instagram said Wednesday that its link sticker for Stories is now available to all accounts.

The link sticker was rolled out Aug. 30 in place of the ability for users to swipe up on Stories to access external links provided by the creators of those Stories.

Access to the sticker had been limited to verified accounts or accounts with a minimum number of followers—10,000 was the follower minimum for the swipe-up capability—and a spokesperson for Instagram said in an email, “We made this decision based on feedback we heard from the community about how impactful it would be for accounts of all sizes to benefit from link sharing to engage with their followers.”
