Facebook to Fund Pop-Up Covid-19 Vaccine Clinics in More Low-Income, Underserved Communities

Facebook is extending a program it kicked off with California Gov. Gavin Newsom to fund pop-up Covid-19 vaccine clinics in low-income and underserved communities in the state.

Head of health Kang-Xing Jin said in a Newsroom post Wednesday that the initiative will be expanded to communities near Facebook offices: Austin, Texas; Boston; Chicago; New York; Seattle; and Washington, D.C.

The company is also expanding its efforts at its headquarters in Menlo Park, Calif., teaming up with local nonprofits including Belle Haven Action to replace the clinic in its office with a mobile truck that will park at nearby schools and community spaces every Friday and Sunday.
