Facebook released its coordinated inauthentic behavior report for May 2021, providing details on two networks that were removed from its platform during the month.

The networks were comprised of 123 accounts, 77 Instagram accounts, 55 pages and 12 groups.

One network of 83 accounts, 30 pages, six groups and 49 Instagram accounts was operated by local nationals in Sudan on behalf of individuals in Russia. It primarily targeted Sudan, and Facebook’s investigation linked individuals associated with its activity to Russia’s Internet
