The Rise initiative Facebook began piloting in Brazil last July to aid ad agency professionals who had been furloughed or lost their jobs altogether due to the pandemic. Rise debuted in several other Latin American countries over the past few months. It was extended to the U.S. Monday, as well as Canada, Italy and Singapore.

Facebook vice president of global agency development Patrick Harris cited data published by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics in January, which found that ad agencies in the U.S.
