Facebook Dating is already a thing and, if a new application being tested by the Facebook NPE Team gains enough traction for an official rollout, Facebook speed dating may become a thing.

The social network confirmed that its New Product Experimentation Team is running a small beta test of a video speed-dating app called Sparked, referring to the app as “an early experiment.”

Kindness is emphasized throughout the signup page for the app, referring to Sparked as “video dating with kind people” and saying that the app will be free, and there will be no direct messages, public profiles or swiping.

When signing up for Sparked, potential users must describe what makes them a kind dater, and their answers will be reviewed by human moderators before they can participate.
