Meta’s Facebook and Instagram applications each rolled out features designed to help people reflect on the meaningful moments they shared with friends and family over the course of 2021.

Facebook users will begin seeing their personalized Year Together cards in their feeds, with content on the card populated based on three pillars: culture, feelings and friends. Those cards can then be shared.

And on Instagram, users can share their custom end-of-year Playback time capsule—with all of the meaningful moments they shared in 2021, from life events and milestones to “little moments of joy”—to their Stories.

Playback is entirely editable, with user having the capability to add or remove content from their Stories Archive before sharing.
