The Messenger Kids application allows parents to create profiles for their children so that they can safely communicate with friends and family without having Facebook profiles. Parents can also access a variety of parental controls for the Messenger Kids app on Facebook.

One of these parental controls allows parents to decide whether or not their kids can send and receive links in chats. By default, this feature is turned off, and kids aren’t allowed to send and receive links.
