Facebook and Its Family of Apps Are Ready for Pride Month

Facebook shared several new features and initiatives across its family of applications to mark Pride Month.

The flagship mobile application added Pride-themed avatars, post backgrounds and stickers for feed and Stories.

The social network also teamed up with Berlin-based artist Jasmina El Bouamraoui on this year’s Pride logo for the Facebook app, and chief marketing officer and vice president of analytics Alex Schultz, executive sponsor of Facebook’s LGBTQ+ employee resource group, said in a Newsroom post Tuesday, “Their perspective and dedication to depicting non-binary and diverse communities is shown through vibrant colors, block shapes and distinct textures that are meant to highlight the authenticity and confidence of each character.”
