Did you know that you can stop Discord from automatically displaying images that have been uploaded by other users? This allows you to save data if you’re using a cellular connection.
Our guide will show you how to stop Discord from displaying images that are uploaded directly to the service.
Note: These screenshots were captured in the Discord application on iOS. Also note, when you change this setting, you’ll see blocks in conversations that represent images. You can tap these blocks to load the images.
Step 1: Tap your profile picture in Discord’s navigation menu at the bottom of the screen.

Step 2: Under the “App Settings” section, tap “Text & Images.”

Step 3: In the “Display Images, Videos, and Lolcats” section, tap the toggle to the right of “When uploaded directly to Discord” to stop Discord from automatically displaying images that are uploaded to the app.
