Social audio application Clubhouse named its first country-level leader outside of the U.S., tapping Parijat Kaushik as head of partnerships for India.

Kaushik had been South Asia marketing lead for TikTok parent ByteDance.

In his new role, he will focus on growing and scaling Clubhouse’s operations in India.

Kaushik said in a LinkedIn post, “Since the moment it launched, I’ve been hooked on Clubhouse. It’s been an incredible experience to see people connect with one another via the profoundly authentic and human medium of conversations.
