Clubhouse: How to Create a Room

Conversations can be public, private or invite-only

Sports marketing leaders from State Farm, the Golden State Warriors, the NBA and more will join ADWEEK Brand Play on May 9 to unpack the trends, techniques and tools you need to break into the space. Register for your virtual pass.

The Clubhouse social networking application allows users to participate in audio chats with both friends and strangers. These audio chats take place in “Rooms,” which come in three types: Open, Social and Closed.

When you create an Open Room, any other Clubhouse user will be able to join. If you create a Social Room, only the users that you follow on Clubhouse will be able to join. Finally, when you create a Closed Room, only the people you invite to participate will be able to join.
