Each spring, Women’s History Month prompts brands to chime in on the movement toward a progressive, inclusive and non-discriminatory view on gender. In some years, there’s much to celebrate. Others, however, that’s less so.

And while the U.S. elected its first woman vice president last year, there are countless other metrics that betray systems continuing to hurt women disproportionately during the pandemic and related economic crisis. In December, for example, every one of the 140,000 jobs lost were women’s jobs, according to analysis by the National Women’s Law Center.
