Billboard and Twitter debuted the Billboard Hot Trending Songs Powered by Twitter chart Friday.

The chart was initially mentioned at Twitter’s 2021 Digital NewFronts presentation in May, with global head of content Jen Prince telling Adweek at the time, “Music has for years been the No. 1 conversation.”

Billboard Hot Trending Songs Powered by Twitter provides a real-time ranking of the most discussed songs on the social network worldwide, capturing conversation over the past 24 hours and past seven days.

A weekly version, covering activity from Friday through Thursday, will appear alongside Billboard’s other weekly charts on its website and the @Billboard and @BillboardCharts Twitter handles every Tuesday.
