Audio company Audacy, the firm behind podcasts like Glennon Doyle’s We Can Do Hard Things and political series Will Be Wild is working with audio intelligence company Sounder—to give podcast advertisers access to the latter’s brand safety solution, which is powered by Sounder’s Audio Data Cloud.

Audio Data Cloud uses automated speech recognition tech to convert a podcast’s content to text, then applies machine learning and language processing. It follows Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) and Global Alliance for Responsible Media (GARM) industry standards to provide a breakdown of ratings and classifications for audio content, according to Sounder co-founder and chief executive officer Kal Amin.
