After less than two years, Daniel Cherry III has resigned as senior vice president and general manager of DC Comics, a role that touched on everything from talent management to marketing, the publisher confirmed.

The news was first announced by The Hollywood Reporter, and DC Comics declined to comment further. As for Cherry’s next move, Bleeding Cool News reported that he is leaving to work with Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West.

Cherry does have a connection to the rapper.
