Yahoo and BBC Strike Distribution Deal

By Karen Fratti

Yahoo and the BBC News announced a partnership today that will allow Yahoo to distribute short form news clips in the U.S. and Canada. The deal means that BBC international news, science, tech, and business reporting will float around Yahoo social channels. Gail Jammy, head of business development for BBC Global News says that:

Through our network of international journalists and the strength of our news gathering operation, BBC News is able to deliver on the ground reporting and video reports that provide a truly global perspective on the day’s news agenda. Extending our partnership with Yahoo to North America offers a great opportunity for us to further extend our relationship with online users and give more of them access to our award-winning journalism.

Around 200 videos will be syndicated on a monthly basis for Yahoo.
