DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
KGO-TV/ABC7 has as immediate looking for a Web Producer/Writer. This person will work with the Web department team of producers on writing, producing and editing content for abc7news.com.
This producer will report to the Director of Web Operations and work closely with the Senior Web Producer and newsroom producers to determine site content and story selection. This person will know how to re-purpose television-produced stories and produce complimentary content to multiple, daily stories. This producer will also produce and edit video.
All applicants should have ability to write interesting headlines, stories teasers and copyedit on deadlilne. (Writing test will be given).
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 2 years Internet, broadcast or print news writing and editing experience. Excellent news judgement, strong writing skills. Knowledge of Internet technologies and HTML. Experience with imaging programs such as Photoshop and/or Fireworks and experience with streaming video and video editing. Understanding of a newsroom editorial process as it relates to an interactive, online and television environment. Communicate clearly, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. Desire to work in a fast paced, deadline-driven, intense news environment is a must. Available to work weekends, evenings, early-morning hours overtime and holidays.(FLEXIBILTY IS A MUST)
