If you follow HBO’s “Veep,” you know Vice President Selina Meyer is in the throes of a presidential campaign this season.
Apparently, the fictional VP has forces hell-bent on stopping her from reaching the White House.
Another negative ad against Meyer is up on Twitter, and it humorously borrows from a real-life campaign ad against then-Senator Obama from 2008.
These statements are being taken out of context, @StopSelina. That’s not very American of you. #StandWithSelina http://t.co/7p2X78QBaS

That tweet links to this YouTube video.
Another one of “Veep’s” political players, fictional Secretary of Defense George Maddox—who himself is angling for the presidency, disavowed the ad via social, but in the same tweet, linked to a website against VP Meyer.
#TeamMaddox disavows these attacks against #Veep Selina Meyer, which really have to be seen to be believed. Please RT http://t.co/cf7ydKLUQH

All of the incoming fire at presidential candidate is from a coordinated campaign led by Citizens Against Selina.
“Veep’s” knack for merging its fictional political mischief onto the second screen, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Tumblr, are making it one of social TV’s most active shows.
