Univision Digital launched a new web series this week called Heads of Space, a shortform series in English with Spanish subtitles. The 12 episode show is an animated “hilarious intergalactic adventure,” according to a statement that follows all of the leading presidential candidates (from both sides of the aisle) sent to Mars by President Obama.

The show is  meant to be watched on mobile devices and will be distributed on a weekly basis. Kevin Mills, vice president of news strategies and initiatives for UCI said that:

The ‘Heads of Space’ project is the most recent step in UCI’s ongoing strategy of expanding the quantity and variety of our digital content targeted to an increasingly diverse audience. Given that multiculturals and millennials over index in the use of mobile platforms and online video consumption, the series’ format was especially designed for easy viewing and sharing on mobile devices and social media.

The series was developed by Plop, a Latin American digital production company that specializes in political satire. They’ve created popular parody series about Latin American presidents.

In keeping to their main mission, extra content like news, infographics, and video following the real presidential campaigns will be available at HeadsOfSpace.com.
