Trailer Roundup: Netflix’s Love, Death & Robots Season 3, Floor Is Lava Season 2 and Paramount+’s Players

Today’s trailer roundup includes the third season of Love, Death & Robots, Floor Is Lava Season 2 and Paramount+’s Players.

The Emmy-award animated anthology series Love, Death & Robots returns for a third season on Netflix on May 20. In a statement from Netflix, the synopsis for Season 3 reads: “Terror, imagination and beauty combine in nine new episodes which stretch from uncovering an ancient evil to a comedic apocalypse, telling startling short stories of fantasy, horror and science-fiction with trademark wit and visual invention.” The series is executive produced by Tim Miller (Deadpool, Terminator: Dark Fate) and David Fincher (Se7en, Mank, Mindhunter), who makes his animation directing debut.

The second season of Floor Is Lava premieres on June 3 on Netflix. The game show promises bigger obstacles and even more lava. A new feature this season is a slippery volcano. Floor Is Lava is produced by A. Smith & Co. Productions with Arthur Smith, Anthony Carbone, Frank Sinton, Anthony Storm, Brian Smith and Caroline Baumgard.

Players premieres on Paramount+ June 16. The first three episodes will be available to stream, and new episodes will air weekly on Thursdays. The series is a mockumentary that follows a fictional “League of Legends” esports team pursuing their first championship after years of close calls. The cast includes Misha Brooks, Da’Jour Jones, Ely Henry, Holly Chou, Stephen Schneider, Peter Thurnwald, Youngbin Chung, Moses Storm, Alexa Mansour, Noh “Arrow” Dong-Hyeon, Michael “Miko” Ahn, Luke Tennie and Dan Perrault.

Players is produced by CBS Studios in association with Funny Or Die and co-created and executive produced by Peabody Award winners Tony Yacenda and Dan Perrault.
