Trailer Roundup: Hulu’s Only Murders In The Building Season 2, HBO’s Irma Vep, Netflix’s Spiderhead, Showtime’s We Hunt Together Season 2

Today’s trailer roundup includes Hulu’s Only Murders In The Building Season 2, HBO’s Irma Vep, Netflix’s Spiderhead and Showtime’s We Hunt Together Season 2.

Just minutes before Disney’s Upfront, Hulu released a new trailer for the hit comedy series Only Murders In The Building. Martin Short, Steve Martin and Selena Gomez are back as a rag-tag team of amateur detectives and aspiring true crime podcasters. Following the shocking death of Arconia Board President Bunny Folger, Charles (Martin), Oliver (Short) and Mabel (Gomez) team up once again to solve her murder, but things get complicated when they become the prime suspects. Season 2 premieres June 28.

The HBO limited series Irma Vep drops June 6. Oscar-winning actress Alicia Vikander (The Danish Girl) stars as Mira, an American movie star disillusioned by her career and a recent breakup who comes to France to star as Irma Vep in a remake of the French silent film, Les Vampires. Mira soon struggles to separate herself from the character she plays. The series is created, written and directed by Emmy nominee Olivier Assayas, based on his 1996 film. Irma Vep will debut on HBO June 6 9PM EST will be available to stream on HBO Max.

Chris Hemsworth, Jurnee Smollett and Miles Teller star in the sci-fi thriller film Spiderhead, premiering June 17 on Netflix. Hemsworth plays Steve Abnesti, who runs a state-of-the-art penitentiary where inmates wear a surgically attached device that administers doses of mind-altering drugs in exchange for commuted sentences.  But when two subjects, Jeff (Teller) and Lizzy (Smollett) form a connection, their path to redemption takes a dark turn. The film is directed by Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick) and written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, based on The New Yorker short story written by George Saunders.

We Hunt Together is back for a second season on Showtime. All six episodes will be available on streaming and on demand for Showtime subscribers June 24 before making its on-air debut with its first two episodes June 26. Season 2 picks up with conflicted odd couple cops DS Lola Franks (Eve Myles) and DI Jackson Mendy (Babou Ceesay) dead set on nailing Freddy Lane (Hermione Corfield) for her murderous role in their last case.
