TODAY celebrates one million Facebook fans

The TODAY Show is a big fan of Facebook, integrating it in the show with franchises like “TODAY Throws a Wedding” and even inviting Facebook to debut its new Timeline product live on the show. And now, TODAY is celebrating being the first morning show to hit the 1 million mark on its main Facebook page — over 1.8 million likes across all of TODAY’s Facebook pages.

“Over the years, we’ve continued to experiment within the Facebook space and listen to what the audience wants,” said Jen Brown, TODAY.com General Manger. “The result is a robust, engaged community that is consuming and sharing the TODAY experience long after the show ends.”

On the air today, TODAY’s hosts thanked everyone for liking the show, handing out big “thumbs up” signs. Coming next month, TODAY.com will incorporate feedback from its Facebook fans in its coverage of the London Olympics.
