Supercell Continues to Lead Digital Advertising Engagement While KFC Pecks at the Door

It’s time for the top 10 most-engaging ads of the week as ranked by digital share of voice*, powered by iSpot.tv.

This week was dominated by the incumbents, with only two new ads cracking into the top 10. At fourth, KFC’s “State of Kentucky Fried Chicken Address” debuted with 1.1 million online views and over 11,000 social actions for an overall digital share of voice of 1.36%. And at seventh, the other newcomer was “A driver’s Live: Driving Matters” supporting Mazda’s 2016 MX-5 Miata, generating nearly 600,000 online views and over 4,000 social actions.

Otherwise the list looked very similar to last week, with Supercell repeating its dominance. The mobile game developer retained the top three positions, all in support of its “Clash of Clans” title. “Ride of the HOg Riders: Call in the Cavalry” was again in first place, with over 7 million online views as 22,000 social actions for a 4.42% digital SOV score. “Balloon Parade” moved from third to second with 2.5 million online views and over 10,000 social actions for a 1.72% digital SOV, while “Shocking Moves” fell to third on 2.6 million online views but almost 9,000 social actions for a 1.66% digital SOV.

Supercell’s ad for “Boom Beach” meanwhile shot up from 8th to 5th, with 1.6 million online views and nearly 2,000 social actions. That gave Supercell four of the top five most-engaging ads of the week.

The only other chart movement was the return of three ads that fell off the list last week. Apple’s “Us” ad for the Apple Watch reappeared at No. 8 with, and the Ad Council had two spots get back on the list with “Diversity & Inclusion: Love Has No Labels” and the Elmo-themed “Brushy, Brush.”
