Once again, Stranger Things dominated the Nielsen Streaming Top 10 list. According to the June 6 report, the horror-fantasy series was the most-streamed program with 4.2 billion viewing minutes. Stranger Things has held three of the top five weeks recorded by Nielsen.
Hustle, starring Adam Sandler and Queen Latifah, came in second and took the No.1 spot on the Top 10 Streaming Movies list with 1.2 billion viewing minutes. Of the viewing demographic, 23% came from Hispanic homes and were split evenly among 18-64-year-olds and a high concentration in the 35-49 age group.
The CW sports series All American took the No.3 spot, pulling in 1.2 billion viewing minutes and took the top spot on the Top 10 Streaming Acquired Programs list. All American has the second-highest concentration of African-American viewers, skewed to the 18-34 age group.
The Amazon superhero series The Boys was the fourth most-streamed program with 919 million viewing minutes and came in second on the Top 10 Streaming Original Programs list. Meanwhile, Disney+’s Ms. Marvel came in tenth with 249 million viewing minutes.
Obi-Wan Kenobi consistently performs for Disney+ with 683 million viewing minutes. In addition, Encanto had 348 million viewing minutes, and Turning Red had 198 million viewing minutes for the streaming platform.
HBO Max cracked the Nielsen charts with Fantastic Beasts: The Secret of Dumbledore and the comedy series Friends and The Big Bang Theory. Fantastic Beasts was the fifth most-streamed movie with 273 million viewing minutes. Friends and The Big Bang Theory made the Top 10 Streaming Acquired Programs list with 433 million and 305 million viewing minutes, respectively.
