Sling TV Adds A&E, HISTORY, H2 and Lifetime to Core Package

There are some great options for cord cutters, and these options are only getting better (for a thorough breakdown, see Emily Steel’s piece from last week).

Sling TV sets itself apart from its existing competition (Sony Vue) and its forthcoming competition (Apple) by being priced in a way – $20/month for its core package – that makes the decision for cord cutters and cord nevers easier. The channel lineup also continues to dramatically improve compared to what Sling TV initially launched with.

Today, Sling TV has added A&E, HISTORY, H2, and Lifetime to its core package – bringing the total number of channels in the package to 20. Also released today, FYI and LMN have been added to Sling TV’s “Lifestyle Extra” add-on pack. This pack costs an additional $5 per month and already includes truTV, Cooking Channel, DIY and WE tv.

If Sling can continue to make these channel additions while keeping the price at $20, it will continue to be, hands-down, the best option for cord-cutters.
