Job Description:
REPORTS TO: Show Producer & Supervising Producer
JOB DESCRIPTION: The position requires a demonstrated ability to
write and produce smart short-form and interview content under
deadline pressure for a live, daily studio show. You will be expected
to generate original segment concepts and see those concepts through
to completion. As such, you should be able to conceive new ideas
quickly and routinely, be able to write and produce under daily
deadline pressure and be able to contribute to and thrive upon a
group creative environment.
Position also requires strong development skills. Conceive new
production models and methods on a tight budget. Generate new
production ideas on a regular basis.
The Segment Producer must be available to work full production days
and some nights.
Job Requirements:
*Bachelor’s degree; preferably in Journalism, Broadcasting, New
Media, or Fine Arts.
*1-3 years experience as a Segment Producer on a cable or broadcast
television network.
*Proven writing ability required.
*Outstanding communications and editorial skills including ability to
reshape content for multiple mediums.
*Proven ability to work individually and cooperatively in a creative
environment.
Salary: Commensurate with experience.
