Netflix proved to be the king of content, taking the top 5 spots on the Nielsen Streaming Top 10 List for the week of May 9. Yet again, Ozark was the winner of most-viewed streaming programs with over 1.7 billion viewing minutes. The series has racked up 80.8 billion viewing minutes to date.
The David E. Kelley legal drama The Lincoln Lawyer came in second with 884 million viewing minutes, followed by the Rebel Wilson comedy Senior Year with 797 million minutes, Cocomelon with 715 million viewing minutes and Grace and Frankie with 584 million viewing minutes. Ozark, The Lincoln Lawyer and Grace and Frankie also took the top three slots on the Top 10 Streaming Original Programs list.
Candy, the Hulu true-crime drama series starring Jessica Biel, came in sixth place on the Top 10 Streaming Programs list with 577 million viewing minutes and in fourth place on the Top 10 Streaming Original Programs list. Candy is Hulu’s most successful original premiere since The Handmaid’s Tale Season 4 in May 2021.
Amazon also proved to have some strong performers, with sci-fi western series Outer Range coming in at No. 8 on the Top 10 Streaming Original Programs at 292 million viewing minutes.
Senior Year took the top spot on the Top 10 Streaming movies list, knocking Encanto down to No.3 with 382 million viewing minutes and Turning Red to No. 7 with 227 million viewing minutes.
