Details about two new documentaries about the K-pop supergroup BTS and the group’s rapper J-hope have been released by Disney+.

The previously-announced docuseries BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star will document the history of the seven-member group.

Viewers will hear candid stories of the group’s beginnings and see never-before-seen footage.

Suga described the project as “a new documentary series that contains stories of our growth and of our music from our debut to today” on the Disney+ Singapore Twitter account.

“We invite you all to the stories of blood, sweat, and tears,” said leader and rapper RM.

BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star was one of the BTS-related titles teased earlier this year. The others are the travel show In the Soop: Friendcation, which stars V, actor Choi Woo-shik and rapper Peakboy, and the 4K concert film BTS: Permission to Dance on Stage, which featured the boy band’s SoFi Stadium concert in late 2021.

The documentary, which will premiere in 2023, will provide viewers “unprecedented access” to the band’s nine-year journey and will also follow the band’s seven members “as they prepare for their second chapter.”

In addition, a documentary about band member J-hope will follow him as he prepares to release his solo album Jack In The Box, which was released in July. Additionally, it will detail his work on the album, the listening party held the night before the album’s release and his performance at Lollapalooza 2022.
