Netflix has renewed Love, Death + Robots for Volume IV.

The animated series comprises stand-alone episodes that are all under 22 minutes long and produced by different casts and crews, though some episodes may share some of the same filmmakers.

Even though not every episode includes all three aforementioned topics—love, death and robots—the series title alludes to how each episode is thematically related to them.

Volume I premiered with 18 episodes in March 2019, and Volume II debuted in April 2020 with eight episodes.

Volume III of the animated anthology was released on May 20 on Netflix. In nine new episodes, which range from finding an ancient evil to a comic apocalypse, terror, imagination and beauty are mixed with wit and visuals to create short stories of fantasy, horror and science-fiction.

The series has 12 Emmys. Director Alberto Mielgo, who has won both Academy and Emmy Awards, just received an early Emmy Award for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation for breaking short Jibaro.
