What’s Trending, the Emmy nominated content platform, has partnered with Marriott for a new campaign designed to push their mobile check-in app. They’ve tapped five YouTube stars to produce five episodes of travel programming.

The episodes feature YouTube stars (Jeana fromPrankVsPrank; Louis Cole from FunForLouis; Tom from TheSyndicateProject; Steve Zaragoza from Sourcefed; and Meghan Camarena from Strawburry17) in what Marriott says is a push to “focus on next-generation travelers” and become a travel and content community,” according to a statement.

David Beebe, Vice President, Creative + Content Marketing, Global Marketing for Marriott International says that:

One of the key strategies of the Marriott Content Studio is to partner with and enable the creative community to do what they do best – create compelling story driven content in all formats across all screens… At the end of the day, content done right builds an emotional connection with the viewer and our brands and ultimately equals heads in beds

The videos have garnered hundreds of thousands of views in the week since they’ve been released, and a lot of the conversation on YouTube is coming from each star’s respective following. Will that turn into “heads in beds” or just a tribe following its leader around the web? You can see all the episodes here.
