Loren Schwartz Named CMO at Pure Flix Entertainment

Loren Schwartz has been named the chief marketing officer at Pure Flix Entertainment, the faith streaming division of Sony AFFIRM Films.

For the Sony-owned streamer, Schwartz will be in charge of running Pure Flix’s daily operations. He will answer to CEO Michael Scott and COO Debbie Stackis.

“We seized the opportunity to bring someone of Loren’s caliber to lead the marketing team, execute the overall vision for Pure Flix and to help grow our audience and take us to the next stage,” Scott said in a statement.

Throughout his career, Schwartz has been in charge of the marketing departments at Fox, Sony and Warner Bros. He also got his start at Fox Searchlight.

“I am thrilled to join the Pure Flix team and utilize the tools and resources I have cultivated throughout the years,” Schwartz said. “I look forward to strategically growing this space.”

Schwartz spent 19 years working for Sony Pictures, where he collaborated with directors including Chris Miller, Adam Sandler, Seth Rogan, Kevin Hart, DeVon Franklin and Judd Apatow. He also took control of Sony’s marketing division for the independent Screen Gems theatrical label and created a grassroots strategy for promoting faith-based movies.

“Loren has a strategic vision that few others in our business today can match. I am excited to welcome him to Pure Flix,” David A.R. White, founding partner of Pure Flix, said in a statement.
