Lindsay Lohan Is Falling for Christmas in New Netflix Holiday Movie

Lindsay Lohan has returned to her comedic roots with the upcoming Netflix holiday film, Falling For Christmas on Nov. 10.

Lohan plays a newly engaged, spoiled hotel heiress who gets into a skiing accident, suffers from total amnesia and finds herself in the care of a handsome, blue-collar lodge owner and his precocious daughter in the days leading up to Christmas. For Lohan, the holiday theme attracted her to the project.

“Christmas is a time when family comes together,” Lohan shared in an interview with Tudum. “It’s just such a loving holiday.”

Falling For Christmas is Lohan’s first project with Netflix. Her second romantic comedy, Irish Wish, will reunite her with director Janeen Damian. Irish Wish, will star Lohan as a bridesmaid who makes a magic wish that turns her into a bride and soon realizes it may not be what she really wants.

The announcement coincides with Mean Girls Day on Oct. 3, where fans celebrate the cult favorite. Lohan’s character, Cady, is asked what day it is by her school crush, and Cady responds, “It’s October 3rd.”

The cast includes Chord Overstreet, George Young, Jack Wagner, Olivia Perez, Alejandra Flores, Chase Ramsey, Sean Dillingham and Antonio D. Charity.
