If Your Tweets Determined the Oscars, the Winners Would Be…

By Adam Flomenbaum

Oscar night is finally here, and since January 21 – when the nominees were first announced – there has been a lot of chatter on Twitter about the awards.

‘Selma’ is the most talked-about Bets Picture nominee, although a lot of this conversation may be about how it was snubbed in other categories. Below, the most tweeted about Oscar nominees, followed by an interactive map highlighting which state drove the most activity around each of the Best Picture nominees (‘The Imitation Game’ was most popular in California, while ‘Selma’ was most popular in Alabama; meanwhile, Utah was top state for both ‘The Theory of Everything’ and ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’.)
