HBO has been on a roll lately with documentaries and last night’s premiere of Alex Gibney’s “Going Clear” is no different. The film, an expose on the Church of Scientology, focused on everything you sort of thought you knew about the church, plus a plea for the IRS to stop classifying it as a church.
Not exactly light fare. The Church has taken out a promoted Twitter ad to combat what it’s been calling “made up” and “ridiculous” aspects of the documentary.

The sane response to the information portrayed in #GoingClear is to revoke #Scientology‘s IRS Status. Pass it on.
