deadmau5Honda Stage, a multiplatform music program that includes digital activations and live events, announced with Live Nation earlier this week that deadmau5 will perform on November 11 during a free concert at the Knockdown Center in Queens, New York.

The concert will be streamed live on the Honda Stage YouTube channel. More, deadmau5 and three-time IndyCar Series race winner James Hinchcliffe have created webisodes which follow their respective journeys to the Honda Stage. The webisodes – which premiered on Monday and will run up to the performance on November 11 – are designed to appeal to electronic music and racing enthusiasts alike, and they will also air on the Honda Stage YouTube Channel.

“This custom Honda Stage Live Nation event is designed to resonate with millennial electronic music fans, starting with deadmau5, one of the most exhilarating and technically innovative electronic artists performing today, and culminating with a new audience of music fans being able to experience a full live concert set on the Honda Stage YouTube Channel,” said Nick Lee, Honda National Advertising Manager, American Honda Motor Co., Inc.

Many parties, including artists, concert tour producers, and technology companies are banking on concert livestreams as a new source of revenue and a way to grow audiences. At its newfront in April, Yahoo announced with Live Nation that they would stream one concert a day over a 365-day period.
