iVillage – Homepage Producer and Copywriter

Ideal candidate will be responsible for programming and writing the
iVillage homepage and serving as copywriter on special projects. The
homepage producer must be well-versed in the news of the day and
reflect timely and relevant promos tied to iVillage
content/community. This producer works closely with all of the
channel producers to ensure timely promos on the homepages of each
vertical. Candidates must be strong copywriters, experienced in
editorial web programming and have a passion for women’s media.
Working knowledge of web-based content management systems preferred.
Must be willing to begin work day early in order to publish headline
touts on the homepage.

Specific Responsibilities

*Write and produce iVillage homepage (primary business owner of
this area but works closely with the EIC and VP of programming) which
includes coordinating with designers, photo editor, marketing team, copy
editor and production to produce the main page and meet all of our
promotional needs/goals. Headline promos must launch early in the day
and be changed out several times each day.

*Write daily blog on hottest posts in the community “The Beehive”

*Analyze main page metric reports to show areas of interest and
growth

*Produce main page reports that identify click-thru trends and
popular subjects in order to continually increase and optimize main
page traffic and marketing levers. Identify popular themes and
sections of the page in order to suggest ongoing changes to
the homepage.

*Work with TODAY show integration VP to identify daily
programming and cross-promotional opportunities.

*Write copy for various internal projects as needed

*Write iVillage Newsletter bi-weekly

*Meet on a weekly basis with EIC and channel leads to discuss
promotional schedule for upcoming week
