Cord-cutters, Netflix’s lower-cost ad tier is here. But a lack of Daniel Craig’s James Bond films may leave you shaken… and stirred.
The streamer previously announced that 5%-10% of its titles wouldn’t be available on its $6.99 Basic with Ads plan while it works out licensing deals. However, subscribers can still see the titles show up on the platform. The unavailable content is just adorned with a little lock on its thumbnail, telling users to stay away.
If you wanted to check out New Girl? It’s a no, girl. And The Good Place? Well, this is your bad place.
We’ve scoured Netflix’s search function, going through each letter of the alphabet and each number (0-9), looking for any title with a little lock. We’ve noticed more than 250 titles aren’t available on the U.S. version of Netflix’s ad tier, including some of the streamer’s biggest draws.
