HBO Max subscribers will now have access to an improved user experience on their mobile and desktop apps.

The updated apps will also be on iOS and Android mobile devices and Amazon Fire tablets where available globally. New features available on the HBO Max desktop and mobile application include: shuffle button functionality, SharePlay support for iPhone and iPad users, tablet support for both landscape and portrait orientation, the ability to split screens with other apps on any behavior-supported mobile device, Chromecast stability improvements and more.

“We are delighted to introduce the revamped HBO Max mobile and desktop apps,” Kamyar Keshmiri, svp of product design at Warner Bros. Discovery streaming, said in a statement. “The changes give our users more of the features they care most about, along with improved navigation and a more immersive canvas for storytelling, helping them click play on their favorite content faster and with less friction.”

The new and improved apps are just in time for the Aug. 21 release of House of The Dragon, one of the Game of Thrones prequels, and the Westworld Season 4 finale, which airs on Aug. 14. HBO Max recently announced that all eight seasons of Game of Thrones could be streamed on 4K Ultra HD, HDR 10, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.
