Gilmore Girls Mini-Reunion Debuts Friday on Netflix

By Steve Safran

Lorelei and Rory are back! Well, they’re back for four 90-minute specials on Netflix called The Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. Each episode covers a season of the year. Here’s the preview:

The show ended its original seven season run in 2007, and we have a lot of catching up to do. The quirky mom and daughter combo, for the uninitiated, are close in age – Lorelei had Rory when she was just 16. The two were famous for their quick and witty patter. They also really love coffee.

The denizens of Stars Hollow had a home on The WB originally before moving to The CW. All four 90-minute episodes of the mini-series will be on Netflix at once, starting this Friday at 12:01 PT – so east coasters should have some of the Gilmores’ coffee and stay up until 3:01 ET to get their fix. (You better believe some will.)

The show has put together a site packed full of goodies for fans. It’s a site for the fictional town of Stars Hollow, CT. You can stop by there for a glimpse of what’s happening in town, as well as clues about what you’re likely to see in the show.

According to Quantcast, the ad tech company that researches the makeup of audiences, Gilmore Girls brings a young age demographic (mainly between 18-34),whose income is skewed highly toward $0-50K incomes. Their top interests include college/universities, books and shopping. This data was based on the searches of 10,000 people.
