Geico, KFC Most Social Ads This Week

By Karen Fratti

KFC and Geico take over the top-engaging ads chart this week with each brand contributing three different ads to the list for a total of six of the top 10 between the two brands.

KFC took the top spot with “The Real Colonel Sanders” after debuting at No. 5 last week. The campaign featuring comedian Norm Macdonald had two other spots on the lsit: “Celebrity Colonel” placed fifth and “Fun Loving” trailing at 10th. The series generated over four million online views and nearly 12,000 social actions among the three of them.

Geico placed second with the “BBQ Awards” ad featuring the animated lizard, while the seventh and eighth spots were taken by different versions of the company’s “It’s What You Do” spots. Across the three spots, Geico raked up over 2.7 million online views and over 7,000 social actions.
