empire-winter-finale-recapThis week, Fox began livestreaming its prime-time programming across all of its platforms, so cable viewers can watch simulcasts of Master Chef, Wayward Pines, So You Think You Can Dance, and all the rest of Fox’s big shows on their mobile platforms and other devices when they’re far away from their cable boxes. Livestreaming on Fox’s website and their Fox NOW app debuted Monday night and they plan on keeping the feature throughout the 2016-2017 television season.

Dana Walden and Gary Newman, Chairmen and CEOs of Fox Television Group said in a statement that, “Adding nationwide prime-time livestreams is just another great example of how the Fox Digital Consumer Group, under Brian Sullivan’s leadership, is innovating to give viewers the convenience and flexibility to watch our programming whenever and wherever they want.”

With the addition of Fox livestreaming, now all the major networks offer streaming to customers who can authenticate their cable subscription. Now, we just need to be able to stream those shows without cable.
