Ed Sheeran Has GRAMMY’s Top Shazamed Moment and Top Click to Buy Track

By Adam Flomenbaum

Last night may have belonged to Sam Smith hardware-wise, but at home, people were really digging Ed Sheeran.

Shazam, the content identification app accessed most by its 100 million monthly active users for music recognition, got a lot of action during last night’s GRAMMYs. To be fair, Smith may be so well known at this point that he didn’t appear on either the ‘top most Shazamed moments’ list or the ‘top clicks to buy tracks’ list. Ed Sheeran, on the other hand, topped both. His performance with Electric Light Orchestra of the latter’s classic ‘Mr. Blue Sky’ was the top most Shazamed moment. Sheeran will also be getting a nice royalties check this month: his ‘Thinking Out Loud’ was the top clicks to buy track on Shazam last night.

Below please find the Top Shazamed Moments of the 2015 GRAMMYs. We’ve also included the top clicks to buy tracks from performing artists during the broadcast.
