Happy Star Wars Day! As a treat, Disney+ released a brand-new trailer for Obi-Wan Kenobi, offering a riveting look at the highly anticipated limited series.
Ewan McGregor‘s Obi-Wan Kenobi keeps a watchful eye on a young Luke Skywalker, while Darth Vader, his former student, is on the hunt for one of the last remaining practitioners of the Force, dispatching lethal Inquisitors to discover and destroy him.
Obi-Wan Kenobi will premiere exclusively on Disney+ on Friday, May 27, with the first two episodes. Following the premiere, the series will stream weekly on Wednesdays until the finale on Wednesday, June 22.
The tale picks up 10 years after the events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, in which Obi-Wan Kenobi suffered his greatest defeat—the demise and corruption of his best friend and Jedi trainee, Anakin Skywalker, who became wicked Sith Lord Darth Vader.
The series stars McGregor, reprising his role as the iconic Jedi Master, and marks Hayden Christensen‘s return in the role of Darth Vader. Joining the cast are Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie.
