The divorce between Hollywood stars Johnny Depp and Amber Heard has taken center stage as the former couple accuses one another of domestic abuse, revealing a relationship that seemed to be toxic from the very beginning.

The Discovery+ docuseries Johnny vs Amber premieres today, taking audiences back to the beginnings of this troubled marriage and Depp’s $50 million defamation lawsuit against British tabloid The Sun, which accused Depp of being a “wife beater.”

Johnny vs Amber features interviews with legal experts on all sides of the trial, as well as family and friends of Depp and Heard. The first part investigates Depp’s account of events and the second part looks at the evidence and accusations presented by Heard.
