Discovery+ released the official trailer for The Diana Investigations.

The documentary offers a new perspective into the tragic death of Princess Diana of Wales, who died in a car accident in 1997 at the Point de l’Alma tunnel in Paris. Diana’s partner Dodi Fayed and their driver Henri Paul were also pronounced dead at the scene.

In the decades after her death, conspiracy theories have grown as to who was to blame for the car crash and how it happened. The four-part docuseries will offer a new look into the shocking accident. The series will have exclusive interviews with key figures, including British and French lead investigators who worked on the case, and reveal never-before-heard details.

In an interview with Town & Country Magazine, Jason Sarlanis, Discovery+’s President of Crime and Investigative, Linear and Streaming said, “We wanted to revisit this moment in time to provide new insight as we approach the 25th anniversary. Over the course of four parts, The Diana Investigations will give you exclusive revelations from those on the ground—investigating the accident, covering the aftermath and looking into the alleged conspiracies. Their accounts offer a new perspective on exactly what happened and why it changed the world.”

The Diana Investigations premieres on Thursday, Aug. 18.
