Commander-in-Chief Forum Scored High Social Ratings

The now-controversial NBC Commander-in-Chief Forum scored high numbers on Nielsen’s Social Content Ratings Wednesday. The show scored more than 600,000 unique social users and 1.7 million interactions, according to Nielsen. That’s nearly four times as many unique users as the next show, CBS’s Big Brother.

The NBC forum has come under fire, mostly for host Matt Lauer’s performance. Many critics are saying Lauer was too soft on Donald Trump, while holding Hillary Clinton to a higher standard. The show has also sparked a conversation over whether journalists should hold candidates more accountable during interviews when the candidates assert facts that may not be true.
