Cobra Kai Renewed for Sixth and Final Season at Netflix

The doors of the Cobra Kai dojo will open one more time.

The series has been renewed for a sixth and final season on Netflix for what is being teased as the biggest and baddest season of Cobra Kai yet.

“Our day one goal with Cobra Kai has always been to end it on our terms, leaving the Valley in the time and place we’ve always imagined,” creators Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg said in a statement. “So it is with immense pride and thankfulness that we are able to announce that achievement. The upcoming season six will mark the conclusion of Cobra Kai.”

“While this may be a bittersweet day for the fandom. The Miyagiverse has never been stronger. This fandom is the BEST on the planet and we hope to be telling more Karate Kid stories with you down the line,” they continued. “Because as we all know, Cobra Kai Never dies.”

In the series, Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) continue their inevitable fight more than 30 years after the events of the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament.

The show aired on YouTube Red for its first two seasons before moving to Netflix.

Along with Macchio and Zabka, the cast includes Courtney Henggeler, Xolo Maridueña, Tanner Buchanan, Mary Mouser, Jacob Bertrand, Gianni DeCenzo, Martin Kove, Peyton List, Vanessa Rubio, Thomas Ian Griffith and Dallas Dupree Young.
